What is You’re definition of Fashion Design?
My definition of fashion design is the art of design in clothing and accessories inspired by the media, culture, season, people, etc.
In you’re opinion, what is the purpose of fashion theory?
I believe the purpose of fashion theory is to give the ability to express one’s view of fashion in fashion design. Everyone has their own theory and in fashion, every person has a different view and can express. Fashion theory purpose is to provide ideas for design.
What are some examples of groups in our society that have served as fashion leaders?
Well, I think the most general group is celebrities. They have so much publicity 24/7 of their lives and projects so it’s pretty obvious we also look towards their style. No matter how good, no matter how bad, they’re the ones that sets the trend. And you can mainly thank the stylist for the celebrities because they’re the ones that dress the stars. Designers as well are fashion leaders since they create the trend. The designer creates the trend, the stylist starts the trend and the celebrities makes the trend. A complete cycle.
